Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a Chef for Normandy Barracks, Leconfield. This permanent, full-time position offers 39 hours per week across five days, with a pay rate of £13.05 per hour and early/late shift patterns. You will manage production and wastage, support junior staff, and ensure adherence to kitchen standards.

You will follow recipes, monitor temperatures, manage stock, and keep records. Security vetting and DBS checks are required for the role.

Qualifications

• Relevant culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1/Level 2 or equivalent).
• UK resident for the past 3 years and have the legal right to work in the UK; able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt and innovate in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and preparing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner services with minimal wastage.
• Train and support new team members on procedures and standards.
• Follow recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve meals.
• Assist with deliveries, stock checks, orders, and maintain kitchen records.
