We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to join our client’s dynamic kitchen team in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious chef looking to advance their career in a supportive and professional environment.

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Hours: Full-time, including some weekends and evenings

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to the highest standards.
  • Ensure the consistent quality of all dishes prepared.
  • Assist in the development and creation of new menu items.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Support junior kitchen staff and provide training as required.

Sous Chef:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
  • Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes across the kitchen.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
  • Manage stock levels, orders, and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
