Job Responsibility:

We are delighted to be looking to recruit an experienced Chef de Partie to join our great team of professional and dedicated individuals.

The main responsibilities/requirements for the role will be (but not limited to):

  • We want you to bring your A game and all of your experience as a either a JCDP or a CDP.
  • Using your previous experience and training you will be able to provide menu and specials ideas plus be a prompt problem solver that can think on their feet
  • Working to strict cleanliness and organisation skills are key.
  • FOH and BOH relations are strong and well established with great respect on both sides, we want to keep it that way so a professional and understanding approach is required
  • Be enthusiastic, motivated and a great team player
  • Keen to learn new skills working within a freshly prepared food environment
  • Assisting the chefs with food service
  • Always maintaining the highest standards by following recipes and presentation specifications
  • Take responsibility for portion control and wastage to ensure GP's are achieved
  • Assisting with stock control, replenishment, stock rotation and storage of deliveries
  • Assisting with the cleaning down of all areas both during and at the end of the shift
  • Always work within agreed Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements, demonstrating high standards of personal hygiene in terms of both appearance and working practices
  • Periodical menu changes & planning is shared as a team, bring your experience and knowledge with you. We love creating!
  • The kitchen is very spacious, well equipped with modern kit and also air conditioned
  • Kitchen porter cover is 7 days a week from morning till night
  • Our calendar of events is growing fast with weddings, functions and special occasions. We have also secured our second year of shoot breakfasts and lunches for later this year. Plenty to get your teeth into
  • We have a main menu, supplemented with an Early Bird dinner menu and a set lunch menu but feel free to show off at the weekend with more elaborate specials
  • We support a varied shift pattern with a few breakfast-lunch shifts, some splits and straights. We also like to get someone away early on a Sunday
  • Sunday lunches are well established as one of the best in Yorkshire and we love doing them! Best quality suppliers across the board and we are proud of them. Is a busy day!

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' previous hotel/restaurant/gastro pub line cook experience as a JCDP or CDP and will have a genuine passion for food and driving the team forward. Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification is essential as with you allergen awareness training.
