Job summary

Countryside Pub & Restaurant in Ribble Valley is seeking a passionate Chef de Partie to run a section of the kitchen and work closely with the Head Chef and team. The role focuses on high-quality, seasonally driven dishes in a busy countryside setting.

You will prepare and present dishes to a consistently high standard, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and assist with stock control and menu development. Weekly pay and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Commis Chef ready to step up.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal food and quality cooking.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy service.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A positive attitude and excellent teamwork.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.

Responsibilities

• Running your own section of the kitchen and supporting the Head Chef.
• Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes.
• Managing your section efficiently during service.
• Assisting with menu development and daily specials.
• Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ensuring proper stock handling and rotation.
• Mentoring junior kitchen staff as needed.
• Working as part of a professional team to deliver an outstanding dining experience.
