Job summary

King's College Prep, Taunton is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join its kitchen team, delivering high-quality meals for pupils and staff. The role offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday pattern with two shifts, and the potential to develop culinary skills in a prestigious educational setting.

You'll join a professional catering team with a commitment to fresh, nutritious meals and high standards of service; DBS clearance is required and a supportive working environment is provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role.
• Experience in catering, hospitality or contract catering.
• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent (706/2).
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, produce, present and serve high-quality meals to contract specs.
• Support pupil dining with Excellent customer experience.
• Assist Head Chef with menu planning, prep and ordering.
• Ensure meals are served at correct times, temperatures and portions.
• Maintain stock, food costs, waste and portion control.
• Receive deliveries and check against invoices for quality.
• Maintain allergen information and labelling accurately.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety regulations.
