Job summary

Beaconsfield Heights Care Home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, part of Avery Healthcare Group, is seeking a warm Chef de Partie to support the Head Chef in delivering balanced, high-quality meals for residents.

You will join a people-focused team, uphold our caring values, and help manage menus, dietary needs, and stock control while providing excellent service in a reassuring environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Have a minimum of 1-year catering experience.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality culinary services to residents.

Responsibilities

• Leading the kitchen team in collaboration with Head and Sous Chef.
• Prepare nutritional food and beverages to a high standard.
• Participate in cost-effective stock control to minimise waste.
• Develop and review the menu in partnership with the Head Chef.

Education

City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Chef de Partie will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service, which contributes to the overall wellbeing of the residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree catering functions across the home, and to address special needs or dietary requirements of residents.
• Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.
• Supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure these are in place.
• Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.
