Job summary

The Woburn Hotel, part of Upham Inns, is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen team. You will work closely with the Head Chef, lead your section, and help push the restaurant’s reputation for exceptional, fresh dishes in a charming pub-hotel setting.

You will grow within an ambitious business that values development, supports progression to Head Chef, and offers live-in accommodation and employee perks as part of our attractive package.

Qualifications

• Be able to demonstrate experience in a similar level position, as well as an aptitude for leadership.
• Candidates with skills in preparing high quality fresh food dining will be at a particular advantage.
• Have the Right to Work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Be happy running a section ensuring high standards are maintained at all times
• Assist the Head chef/Sous chef in the smooth running of the kitchen
• Setting an example and guiding for junior chefs
• To complete all training in a timely manner
• To comply with the statutory requirements for fire, health and safety, licensing and employment law and to ensure that other team members are also aware of these requirements and are working in accordance with them
• Ensuring that you can follow the Food safety laws and requirements
• Have a positive and approachable manner alongside strong team player qualities

This is a great opportunity to join the kitchen team at The Woburn Hotel, the flagship site within Upham Inns, as we begin an exciting new chapter in its already remarkable journey. Set in the heart of Woburn, this beautiful pub, restaurant and hotel deserves a food offer every bit as special as the setting – and we’re looking for a talented and ambitious Chef de Partie to be part of what comes next.

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for great food, strong standards and a desire to keep developing their skills. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, taking responsibility for your section, delivering consistently excellent dishes and playing an important part in building The Woburn’s reputation as a destination for great food.

Most of our pubs have some Charming Bedrooms as well. New to our growing family is Harper’s Steakhouse, a new premium American Steakhouse brand that we started rolling out last year.
