Job summary

Six by Nico is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our Cardiff team. You will support with daily kitchen operations, run a rotating section during service, and contribute to our evolving menu concepts with a focus on quality and consistency.

The ideal candidate has strong food safety knowledge, a proactive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to take direction from Head Chef & Sous Chefs and work under supervision.
• Willingness to develop skills across multiple menu concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily kitchen running and maintain high food safety standards.
• Run a kitchen section during service; sections rotate for development.
• Demonstrate knowledge of food and modern preparation techniques.
• Deliver first-class service and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
• Stay well-organised and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

The role

Due to our unique concept, we change menus on a regular basis which will give you the opportunity for continual development of your skills and knowledge with different cooking styles.

As a Chef de Partie at Six by Nico, you will:

• Be able to take direction from the Head Chef & Sous Chefs while assisting with the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring high level of food safety is maintained
• Be responsible for running a section during the day to day service; sections will alternate for your personal development
• Have a good knowledge & understanding on food, modern food preparation techniques and food safety.
• Be committed to delivering first class service
• Have a positive attitude and ability to multitask
• Have good organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
