Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Chef de Partie at Sonning Gardens Care Home in Reading to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals for residents.

You will participate in menu discussions with residents and Heads of Departments, help manage stock to minimise waste, and contribute to cost-effective kitchen operations while upholding caring service standards.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Chef De Partie at Sonning Gardens Care Home in Reading.

Your focus as Chef de Partie will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service, which contributes to the overall wellbeing of the residents.

• Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree catering functions across the home, and to address special needs or dietary requirements of residents.


• Preparing nutritional food,


• Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.


• Supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure these are in place.


• Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.

Your focus as Chef de Partie will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service, which contributes to the overall wellbeing of the residents.
