Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Chef De Partie at Cliveden Manor Care Home in Cliveden. You will support the kitchen team in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to residents, while ensuring cost-conscious stock control and menu development. The role requires a catering qualification, a Basic Food Hygiene certificate, and at least 1 year of catering experience.

• Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

• Attend meetings with residents and Heads of Departments on catering functions.
• Support cost-effective stock control and minimize waste.
• Assist in developing and reviewing the menu regularly.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Chef de Partie will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service, which contributes to the overall wellbeing of the residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree catering functions across the home, and to address special needs or dietary requirements of residents.
• Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.
• Supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure these are in place.
• Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.
