Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a Chef De Partie in Newport to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations. You will help monitor food quality, hygiene standards, and follow the Head Chef’s example of excellence and efficiency.

The role emphasizes HACCP compliance, teamwork, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a busy hotel kitchen. Dalata promotes internal growth and provides development opportunities through the Dalata Academy.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel kitchens or similar role.
• Passion for food and cooking.
• Mature, pleasant and customer-focused attitude.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Solid knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations.

• Follow Head Chef’s guidance to maintain excellence and efficiency.
• Adhere to HACCP regulations at all times.
• Support kitchen staff in hygiene during food preparation and storage.

Your Job

• Assist the Head Chef & Sous Chef with the overall running of the kitchen.
• Take direction from department managers and to assist in the monitoring of food quality and hygiene standards.
• Follow the talented Head Chefs example of excellence and efficiency.
• Adhere to HACCP regulations at all times
• Support your fellow kitchen staff in observing appropriate systems of hygiene during food preparation and storage.

What You’ll Need

• Have previous experience working within hotels or in a similar role.
• Have a passion for and genuine interest in food.
• Have a mature and pleasant manner for dealing with customers and team members.
• Be a team player.
• Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Have good knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations.
