Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group in Greater London is seeking a hands-on kitchen assistant to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the daily running of the kitchen. You will help monitor food quality, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure HACCP compliance, while contributing to a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

We value passion for food, teamwork and the ability to work well under pressure. Experience in hotels or similar kitchens is preferred, and you'll benefit from internal development programmes

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotels or similar role.
• Passion for and genuine interest in food.
• Knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations.
• Be a team player and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef & Sous Chef with the overall running of the kitchen.
• Monitor food quality and hygiene standards under guidance.
• Follow the Head Chef's guidance to maintain excellence and efficiency.
• Adhere to HACCP regulations at all times.
• Support hygiene systems during food preparation and storage.

Your Job

• Assist the Head Chef & Sous Chef with the overall running of the kitchen.


• Take direction from department managers and assist in the monitoring of food quality and hygiene standards.


• Follow the talented Head Chef's example of excellence and efficiency.


• Adhere to HACCP regulations at all times


• Support your fellow kitchen staff in observing appropriate systems of hygiene during food preparation and storage.

What You'll Need

• Have previous experience working within hotels or in a similar role.


• Have a passion for and genuine interest in food.


• Be a team player.


• Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.


• Have good knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations.
