Job summary

Upham Inns in Milton Keynes is seeking a Chef de Partie with a passion for fresh, high‑quality food and a positive team spirit to join our busy kitchen. You will run a section, assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef, lead by example and train junior chefs, while ensuring food safety and kitchen standards are consistently met.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or similar level with leadership aptitude.
• Ability to prepare high quality fresh food.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Run a kitchen section maintaining high standards at all times.
• Assist Head Chef/Sous Chef in smooth kitchen operations.
• Set an example and train junior chefs.
• Complete all training in a timely manner.
• Adhere to food safety, health & safety, licensing and employment law.

Chef de Partie Requirements:

• Be able to demonstrate experience in a similar level position, as well as an aptitude for leadership
• Candidates with skills in preparing high quality fresh food dining will be at a particular advantage.
• Have the Right to Work in the UK

Chef de Partie Responsibilities:

• Be happy running a section ensuring high standards are maintained at all times
• Assist the Head chef/Sous chef in the smooth running of the kitchen
• Setting an example and guiding for junior chefs
• To complete all training in a timely manner
• To comply with the statutory requirements for fir, health and safety, licensing and employment law and to ensure that other team members are also aware of these requirements and are working in accordance with them
• Ensuring that you can follow the Food safety laws and requirements
• Have a positive and approachable manner alongside strong team player qualities
