About The Other House

Be part of something extraordinary! Welcome to The Other House, a visionary Residents’ Club that blurs the lines between hotels, serviced apartments, and private members clubs. Our brand showcases the best of British design, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and cutting-edge smart technologies.

Naomi Heaton (Founder/CEO) recognized the desire for central London locations, super-smart interior design, and less need for full white-glove service. Instead, residents want the benefits of living like a local with access to hotel-style service.

With 2 locations and more to come, The Other House is an expanding brand with key locations across Central and West London, including South Kensington, Covent Garden, and Belgravia. While our initial focus is London, we plan to expand globally, catering to discerning business and leisure travelers.

Working at The Other House is truly unique. You're not just an employee – you're a HouseMate. This means being part of a forward-thinking brand that values teamwork and collaboration across all departments, shaping experiences for our Residents and fellow HouseMates. Our core values are: To Feel at Home, To Be in Control, To Leave a Lasting Impression, and To Make a Positive Impact.

Remuneration: £17.20 per hour, inclusive of minimum tronc.

Working hours: Minimum Contracted Hours - 30 hours per week.

The CDP role requires a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences. You should have a background in a supervisory role within a commercial kitchen, focusing on creating memorable moments through food.

The CDP reports to the Head Chef and Junior Sous Chef, supporting smooth kitchen operations, compliance with regulations, and meeting targets including financial goals, team performance, and resident satisfaction. You will also motivate and support your team.

What's in it for you as an OtherHouseMate?

  • Working among passionate and caring individuals
  • Industry-leading benefits, including: Length of Service Rewards, Birthday Celebrations, exclusive Perkbox discounts, Cycle to Work Scheme, Nursery Vouchers
  • Dining discounts at our Bar and Restaurant
  • Friends and Family discounted rates for overnight stays
  • Christmas and Summer social events
  • Healthy staff meals on shift

About you - We are looking for a Chef de Partie who has:

  • Previous experience in a CDP role in a commercial kitchen (preferred)
  • Passion for cooking with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients
  • Desire to develop within the role and grow with the company
  • Self-driven with experience working independently
  • Sustainable and creative approach to cooking and food handling
  • Excellent command of English, both verbal and written
  • Positive, engaging personality and team collaboration skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong task and time management abilities
  • Right to work in the UK

The Other House values diversity and fosters an inclusive workplace. We are committed to recruiting, developing, and retaining talented individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We encourage applications from all genders, races, religions, ages, sexual orientations, and other groups that bring unique perspectives. We prioritize mental health and well-being, accommodating candidates' needs during the interview process to ensure an equitable recruitment journey.
