Job description

Henrietta Hotel opened in 2017, right in the heart of bustling Covent Garden. A haven nestled away from the busy streets outside, Henrietta is comprised of 40 rooms divided into two buildings. In the summer of 2024, renowned British chef Jackson Boxer took the helm of the restaurant, reimagining the food offering against the backdrop of a full restaurant redesign. Expect nods to their Parisian heritage and the city’s famed bistros, as well as to Covent Garden’s rich history. Taking inspiration from London’s continental neighbours, the menu at Henri reflects the culinary traditions and timeless appeal of a Parisian bistro, serving Jackson’s take on French classics alongside signature Experimental cocktails.

Chef de Partie

Based in: Covent Garden, London
Reports to: Head Chef

Join our kitchen and continue developing your craft.

We're looking for a passionate Chef de Partie who takes pride in great food and wants to be part of a supportive, ambitious kitchen team.

At HENRI, we believe great cooking starts with great people. We work with quality seasonal ingredients, encourage curiosity and creativity, and are committed to helping every member of our team develop their skills and progress their career. Whether you're an experienced Chef de Partie or a strong Demi Chef de Partie ready for your next step, you'll find an environment where you'll be challenged, supported and encouraged to grow.

The Role

As a Chef de Partie, you'll take ownership of your section while working closely with the Head Chef and senior kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards of food and service.

Our menus evolve with the seasons, giving you the opportunity to work with exceptional produce, refine your techniques and continually learn new skills. Every service is a chance to improve, collaborate and contribute ideas within a kitchen that values teamwork and craftsmanship.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Running your section with confidence and consistency.
  • Preparing and presenting dishes to the highest standards.
  • Working with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Supporting the wider kitchen team during preparation and service.
  • Maintaining exceptional food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Helping ensure the kitchen remains organised, clean and efficient.
  • Working collaboratively to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
  • Contributing ideas and embracing opportunities to learn and develop.
About You

We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy cooking and want to keep improving.

While previous experience as a Chef de Partie is beneficial, we value attitude, curiosity and a willingness to learn just as highly as technical ability.

You bring:
  • A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
  • Pride in producing quality dishes with care and consistency.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Calmness under pressure during busy services.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Respectful communication and a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Curiosity to learn new techniques, ingredients and styles of cooking.
  • Previous experience in a quality kitchen, or the ambition and ability to step up from a Demi Chef de Partie position.
Why Join Us?

We're passionate about creating an environment where talented chefs can build long-term careers.

From your first day, you'll receive support from experienced chefs who are invested in helping you succeed. We believe development happens every day—through mentorship, collaboration and working with outstanding ingredients.

As part of our team you'll benefit from:
  • Competitive salary.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Clear opportunities for career progression.
  • Staff meals while on duty.
  • Staff discounts.
  • Company pension.
  • A supportive and inclusive working environment.
  • The opportunity to work alongside a passionate team committed to excellence.
Our Culture

We believe the best kitchens are built on respect, teamwork and continuous improvement.

We work hard, support one another and celebrate people who are curious, committed and take pride in their craft. We welcome chefs from all backgrounds and believe that diverse experiences make stronger teams and better hospitality.

If you're looking for more than just your next job—and want to continue developing as a chef in a kitchen that genuinely invests in its people,we'd love to hear from you.
