Job summary

Jesus College in Cambridge is seeking a Chef de Partie to join the college's catering team. You will prepare, cook and present high-standard meals across the college's kitchen operations, working with direction but also able to work without close supervision.

You will help run your section and contribute to the overall kitchen service and events. You will assist in procuring ingredients with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, supporting the catering and conference functions and ensuring consistent

Qualifications

• Experience in college/catering kitchen preferred.
• Ability to hit ground running and work with minimal supervision.
• Capable of preparing, cooking and presenting meals to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food across all kitchen sections as directed by Head/Sous Chef.
• Oversee the running of the rostered kitchen section and assist with line management.
• Assist in procurement of ingredients in collaboration with Head Chef and Sous Chef.

Chef de Partie

Jesus College is seeking to appoint a Chef de Partie to work as part of the highly successful and forward-thinking kitchen team. We are seeking an experienced and competent individual who has the skills and confidence to hit the ground running. You will be able to take direction but also be relied upon to work without close supervision as you will deliver high standard meals to both internal and external users of the catering areas.

The successful candidate will be expected to prepare, cook and present food as directed by the Head Chef and/or Sous Chef across all the College's kitchen operations and be comfortable working in all sections of the kitchen. They will take responsibility for some aspects of the kitchen and oversee the running of the section they are rostered on, including ensuring the procurement of ingredients in collaboration with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
