Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, ESS is recruiting an ambitious Chef to support Defence on a full-time basis (40 hours per week). You will prepare and serve high-quality meals for Defence clients, while upholding service excellence within the market-leading UK food service company.

We offer opportunities to progress, with a flexible shift pattern (5 out of 7 days) and a benefits package including free meals, pension, and health services.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
• Food Hygiene certificate
• Experience supervising a team
• Experience in a similar Chef role
• Passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
• Flexible working

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
• Listening to customer feedback to improve services
• Supporting creation of new menus and concepts
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations
