Join to apply for the Chef/Cook - Willow Tree Nursing Home role at Redwood Health Care Ltd

Willow Tree Nursing Home is looking for a dedicated Chef/Cook to join our friendly team, sharing our commitment to providing excellent care and quality meals for our residents. This full-time position offers 33 contracted hours.

Key qualities and skills required:
  • Passion for preparing high-quality meals from fresh ingredients
  • Commitment to delivering the care residents deserve
  • Ability to make a positive difference, e.g., home-baked cakes and desserts
  • Healthcare experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Daily responsibilities include:
  • Providing nutritious meals following a four-week rotating menu
  • Catering for dietary requirements such as modified textures, religious, diabetic, and fortified diets
  • Maintaining temperature records, cleaning schedules, and food safety standards
  • Minimizing waste and adhering to policies and procedures
  • Supervising kitchen staff, managing stock and orders, ensuring cleanliness

We support your professional growth through ongoing training and career development. Candidates should have experience in similar settings, hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent, understand Safer Foods Better Business, and demonstrate empathy towards elderly residents.
