Job summary

Greene King and Urban & Heritage are offering an Apprentice Chef role within our contemporary pubs that fuse Britain's traditional charm with modern city energy. This full-time apprenticeship blends hands-on kitchen work with four Chef Academy masterclasses designed to deepen cooking expertise across four areas of cooking.

You will be mentored in a supportive kitchen, learn how to prepare, cook, and present dishes to spec, maintain rigorous hygiene standards, and communicate effectively with

Qualifications

• No college required; apprenticeship delivered through work-based training with mentor support.
• Functional Skills in English and Maths provided or supported if needed.
• Reviews every 12 weeks with Line Manager and Coach.

What your apprenticeship includes:

• You won’t need to attend college, our apprenticeships are delivered through work based training which includes a mixture of face-to-face sessions and remote Team calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You will also have a mentor within the workplace to support you.
• Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths, with support tailored to your needs (if you don’t already have GCSE or equivalents)
• Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach including feedback sessions.

Alongside working full time as an Apprentice Chef, you will also be joining our unique Chef Academy, where you will have the opportunity to attend four masterclasses designed to teach you expert knowledge and technical skills involved in 4 different areas of cooking.
