Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking an ambitious Chef to deliver high-quality food for Healthcare clients on a full-time basis. The role is contracted to 35 hours per week, with an emphasis on menu development, customer service, and maintaining hygiene standards across healthcare sites.

You will supervise kitchen teams, adapt menus, and respond to client feedback while upholding Compass Group’s brand and safety expectations. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Experience in a Chef role.
• Flexible working hours.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Representing Defence and maintaining brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting an ambitious Chef to helpus create exceptional food experiences for Healthcare on a full time basiscontracted to 35 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:
