Compass Group UK&I is seeking an ambitious Chef to lead healthcare catering across our client sites in the UK. This full-time role (40 hours per week) focuses on creating exceptional, high-quality meals and overseeing menu changes while driving service improvements.

You should have leadership experience, City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ, a Food Hygiene certificate, and a flexible approach to shifts. Compass offers great career progression and extensive staff benefits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality, delicious food for healthcare clients.
• Oversee menu changes and implement updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Act on customer feedback to continually improve services.
• Assist with developing new menus and concepts.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor stock levels and inventories in the kitchen.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning and hygiene compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting an ambitious Chef to helpus create exceptional food experiences for Healthcare on a full time basiscontracted to 40 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
• Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image
• Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations

Our ideal Chef will:

• Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
• Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
• Have experience supervising a team
• Have experience in a similar Chef role
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate
• Have a flexible approach to working
