Milkround is recruiting a Cook for a welcoming residential care home in Ewerby, Sleaford. You’ll prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, visitors and staff, delivering high-quality catering and a positive dining experience.

We’re looking for Level 3 Catering qualification and at least 2 years’ catering experience, with good food hygiene and time management. Shifts are 8:00am–4:00pm, rate £14.47 per hour plus incentives, 28 days’ annual leave, pension, and development opportunities.

• Experience preparing meals for a range of dietary requirements.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
• Genuine passion for cooking and providing a high standard of service.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ideally live within approximately 20 minutes of the home.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in preparing fresh, nutritious and enjoyable meals and wants to see the direct difference their work makes to residents every day.

Youll be responsible for delivering a high-quality catering service for residents, visitors and staff, while ensuring meals are nutritious, varied and prepared to a high standard.

About the Role

As a Care Home Cook, you’ll play an important part in creating a positive dining experience for residents. Food is a big part of daily life in a care setting, and you’ll have the opportunity to make mealtimes something residents genuinely look forward to.

Ideally, you will have:

• A Level 3 Catering qualification, or be willing to work towards one.
• At least 2 years' catering experience, ideally within a busy environment.
• Experience preparing meals for a range of dietary requirements.
• A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
• A genuine passion for cooking and providing a high standard of service.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ideally, live within approximately 20 minutes of the home.
