Job summary

Spire Nottingham Hospital is seeking an experienced Chef to join our friendly catering team in Nottingham. You will prepare and cook meals to a high standard for patients, staff and visitors, while upholding strict hygiene and food safety standards in a healthcare setting.

The role offers a full-time 37.5-hour week with excellent benefits and free parking. Access to your own transport is essential due to limited public transport links; prior hospitality experience in a busy catering environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook.
• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent) and Basic Food Hygiene.
• Experience in a busy catering environment; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook freshly made meals to a high standard.
• Assist with food preparation, including vegetable preparation and ingredient handling.
• Serve food and beverages to patients, staff, consultants and visitors.
• Support catering services in both the restaurant and ward areas as required.
• Manage stock rotation, date checks and ensuring food is stored safely.
• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.

Spire Nottingham Hospitalis looking for an experienced Chef to join our friendly catering team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing high-quality meals, maintaining excellent food hygiene standards, and working in a professional healthcare setting.

As part of our catering team, you'll help deliver nutritious, well-presented meals to patients, staff and consultants while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the hospital kitchen.

What You'll Be Doing
