Job Title: Food Service Worker

The Food Service Worker is responsible for cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. The worker should safely handle knives and equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, etc.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serve food and/or beverages to customers according to company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all food hygiene regulations, particularly H.A.C.C.P standards.
  • Perform cleaning duties related to service and equipment.
  • Prepare the service area and service points.
  • Clean and replenish service equipment.
  • Store food items and equipment properly after service.
  • Assemble and serve food efficiently, including light cooking if necessary.
  • Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately following company procedures.
  • Attend in-house training sessions.
  • Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform in accordance with company regulations.
  • Present a professional image to foster good customer relations.
  • Assist in promoting and implementing the company's health and safety policies.
  • Assist in promoting and implementing other company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure smooth department operation.
  • Show an interest in food and service.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Complete paperwork as directed by your manager.
  • Demonstrate dedication and self-motivation.
  • Maintain good timekeeping.
  • Contribute to high standards of personal hygiene.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a catering environment is desirable; on-the-job training will be provided. Must obtain a basic food hygiene qualification within the first six months.
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene and HACCP standards.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar environment.
  • Good understanding of English.
