Job description

Due to long-term sickness, we are seeking an experienced Chef to support the care home kitchen team on a temporary basis in Knaresborough. This role offers £15.50 per hour, with working hours from 7am to 5pm, full-time rota, 28 days holiday, pension, free parking, and is a temporary position.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and a light tea.
2. Follow menu plans.
3. Adhere to food safety, allergen, and health and safety procedures.
4. Work with the kitchen team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.

The successful candidate should be confident working in a professional kitchen and capable of preparing meals from set menus with minimal guidance.

This role is ideal for those who have worked as an agency or relief chef and are accustomed to adapting to different kitchens. Experience in a care home setting is useful but not essential.
