Private Chef Job - Nr Otley Leeds West Yorkshire - Full-time - up to £50,000 GPA

Our client is looking for an experienced Chef to take on a role as Private Chef for a private client based near Otley between Leeds and Harrogate. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who either have previous experience working as a Private Chef within a Household, or a Chef who is looking to move from a top level restaurant kitchen into Private Chef role.

The ideal candidate should enjoy creating interesting, flavorful, creative and well presented dishes using influences from around the world.

You will mainly be catering for a couple, catering for lunch and dinner, daily at 13.00 and 18.30, as well as catering for business lunches and more formal dinner parties. Small gatherings of 8 people plus children, dinner parties / BBQs for 8-12 and business lunches for no more than 15-20 people. The client will be installing a professional kitchen for use, the design of which the Chef will have input in but in the meantime you will use the main family kitchen. There is also an outdoor kitchen with teppanyaki grill, large BBQ and wood fire pit.

You should have a focus on health and nutrition and seasonal cooking using local and home grown produce.

Duties will include:

Menu planning in line with dietary requirements and the principals’ preferences

Preparing beautifully presented and delicious meals

Sourcing high quality, and where possible locally sourced, ingredients as well as using home grown produce (access to a kitchen garden)

Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy at all times

Clearing up after meals

Liaising with the principal on event details when required

Fridge filling for your days off

The client travels extensively and is only in the country for on average 8 months per year. You will not be required to work when they are not in residence but when they are, you will be required to work Tuesday to Sunday, taking Mondays off
