Oakland Care in Harpenden is seeking a skilled Chef to join our modern kitchen team in a demanding yet rewarding environment. You will support the Head Chef with daily kitchen management, ensuring excellence in every dish and a dining experience that exceeds resident expectations.

You’ll work in a state-of-the-art kitchen, with opportunities for personal development and career progression in a supportive team. The role offers 40 hours per week, day shifts, and a pay rate of £15.53 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ catering experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of food regulations and standards.
• Knowledge of therapeutic and textured diets (advantageous).

Responsabilités

• Delivering an excellent food service at all times.
• Following care and support plans to meet residents’ nutritional needs.
• Preparing nutritious snacks as requested by the General Manager.
• Ensuring all prepared food is high-quality, flavoursome, and beautifully presented.
• Collaborating with the Head Chef to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
• Managing stock control, including ordering and replenishment.
