Job summary

McMullen’s Chicken & Grill pubs in the United Kingdom are hiring a Chef. If you’re passionate about delivering delicious rotisserie chicken, chargrilled meats and pub classics, this is your chance to join a long established family business.

You’ll prepare and serve our menu to a high standard, maintain food hygiene and safety standards, receive deliveries, and keep the kitchen clean and safe. Live-in accommodation is available and training is provided to help you grow within the company.

• Previous experience of working within a busy kitchen is essential.

• Preparing and serving our menu to a high standard as per company specification to ensure our guests return again and again
• Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards within the business and completion of company paperwork with regards to such standards
• Receiving deliveries and maintaining the correct storage of food
• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment

Key Responsibilities of a Chef

• Preparing and serving our menu to a high standard as per company specification to ensure our guests return again and again
• Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards within the business and completion of company paperwork with regards to such standards
• Receiving deliveries and maintaining the correct storage of food
• Maintaining and clean and safe kitchen environment

The right person will have a positive hands on approach, good communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Previous experience of working within a busy kitchen is essential however further training and development will be given in house and in our Development Kitchen in Hertford.

£12.90 per hour, live in reduction £1.72 per hour
