Job responsibilities

We are seeking a talented & compassionate caterer to join our established team of Chefs, Catering Assistants, and volunteers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective in-house catering. You will use your skills to create fresh, well-balanced, home-cooked meals for patients and staff, leading your shift to ensure dietary requirements & special requests are met with care & precision.

Person Specification
Experience
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to plan, prepare & deliver hospitality for events
  • Previous cooking experience and expertise
  • Awareness and understanding of nutrition
  • Knowledge & experience of working to H&SAW, COSHH standards
  • Strong people skills with effective communication at all levels
  • Good motivational skills to engage and empathise
  • Ability to produce clear and effective correspondence
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • High personal work standards
  • Ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Attention to detail and motivation to maintain high standards
  • Basic PC skills
  • Ability to cook with fresh ingredients for various diets
  • Strong knowledge & commitment to food safety, kitchen safety & allergens control
  • Creativity in menu development
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Experience coaching/training staff/volunteers

Qualifications
