Job summary

Stafffinders is seeking chefs of all levels for flexible temporary roles across Edinburgh, including hotels, restaurants and care homes. You could work in bustling kitchens and care-home environments, depending on opportunities available.

Roles are temporary and flexible, with weekly pay and pay from £16 per hour. Candidates must have immediate Right to Work in the UK and be comfortable working across various venues in and around Edinburgh.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen.
• Able to work across multiple kitchen environments.
• Right to Work in the UK (immediate) and provide references when requested.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes in your designated section.
• Mentor junior kitchen team members.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Monitor stock levels and support kitchen operations.
• Ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes during service.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and kitchen team to meet client requirements.

Responsibilities in your new role

As a crucial member of the kitchen team, you will skillfully prepare and cook a range of dishes within your designated section, ensuring every plate meets high standards. You will also:

• Manage and mentor junior kitchen team members
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Monitor stock levels and support efficient kitchen operations
• Ensure dishes are prepared and delivered on time during service
• Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
• Follow client requirements and specific instructions accurately
• Consistently deliver high-quality food and service

Your personality, experience and qualifications
