Job summary

Astune Rise is recruiting a dedicated Cook to prepare nutritious meals for our care home residents. You will follow established menus, ensure safe Food Hygiene standards, and present meals that support residents’ health and enjoyment at mealtimes.

We value prior cooking experience in similar settings, knowledge of dietary requirements, and a Food Hygiene or Food Safety certificate. All offers are subject to references and DBS checks, with UK right to work required.

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Knowledge of a range of dietary requirements is desirable.
• A Food Hygiene or Food Safety qualification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Menu preparation: Follow established menus to organise, prepare, and serve appetising, freshly made meals.
• Food quality: Prepare meals with care, ensuring each dish is well presented, nutritious, and enjoyable for residents.
• Cleanliness and safety: Maintain a clean kitchen environment and follow all relevant health, safety, and hygiene standards.
