Mary Rush Care Ltd is seeking a Chef/Cook for our dementia care home, offering sociable hours and full‑time employment. You will prepare nutritious meals and maintain hygiene standards while supporting residents with complex needs. Training and qualification pathways, including NVQ and potential Nursing Degree, are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen setting and ability to follow recipes.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices.
• Comfort with planning menus and accommodating dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Cook nutritious, appetising meals for residents at breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
• Create and maintain a four‑week rotating menu based on resident preferences.
• Cater to individual dietary needs, including allergies and nutritional requirements.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety.
• Order supplies on time while staying within budget.
• Be a supportive member of the close‑knit care team.

We’re currently seeking a positive, enthusiastic, and compassionate Cook to join our incredible team at our welcoming nursing home, which supports residents living with dementia and other complex needs. Whether you’re experienced or just passionate about food, we’ll provide the training you need to succeed.

What You’ll Do:

Cook nutritious, appetising meals for our residents, including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner

Cater to individual dietary needs, including allergies and nutritional requirements

Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety
