Job summary

Aramark UK are recruiting a Chef for Askham Bryan College, YO23 3FR, offering a Monday to Friday, term-time-only role with evenings and school holidays largely free. You will prepare and deliver high-quality meals, while maintaining food safety and customer service to students and staff.

You will work with the catering team to ensure dietary requirements are met, oversee stock control, and keep a clean, safe kitchen. DBS checks and right-to-work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a chef or in a similar catering role.
• Passion for producing high-quality food.
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting meals to a high standard.
• Assisting with menu delivery and food production.
• Ensuring food is prepared in line with dietary requirements and company standards.

• Supporting stock control, stock rotation, and food storage procedures.
• Completing relevant food safety and due diligence paperwork.
