Job summary

Rubislaw Park Care Home is seeking a part-time Chef to join our award-winning team in Aberdeen. You will prepare nutritious meals, tailor menus to dietary needs, and maintain high hygiene standards in a supportive kitchen environment.

Working days with 20 hours per week at £15.50 per hour, with PVG paid, pension, uniform provided and 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full-time contract. A balanced schedule and opportunities for development are offered.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 (or equivalent) or working towards.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Positive and reliable attitude.

Responsibilities

We are an award-winning care home and nursing facility, based in Aberdeen’s West End. We deliver exceptional levels of Residential, Nursing, Dementia & Respite care for up to 86-residents.

Chef Contract

• £15.50 per hour
• Contracted to 20 hours per week

Role Overview

As a Chef, you will deliver high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals that are a key part of daily life. This is a role where your cooking has real impact, bringing comfort, routine and enjoyment while supporting overall wellbeing.

You will take ownership of food preparation and service, ensuring meals are tailored to individual dietary needs, preferences and nutritional requirements. Maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety, you will consistently deliver meals that residents look forward to each day.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to menu planning, kitchen organisation and smooth day to day service. With no late evenings or split shifts, this role offers a strong work life balance while still allowing you to take pride in producing high quality food in a rewarding environment.
