Job summary

MedicsPro Limited are seeking an experienced CHC Advisor - Band 6 with recent NHS experience to cover Lancashire & South Cumbria ICB. The role runs Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, offering day shifts and a consistent daytime pattern.

You will undertake comprehensive assessments for CHC and FNC eligibility, manage a caseload, and liaise with Local Authorities and trusts to secure funded placements. Prior leadership in Best Interests and Court of Protection cases is valued.

MedicsPro are seeking experienced CHC Advisor - Band 6 with recent NHS experience, who are looking for a line of work at Lancashire & South Cumbria ICB.

This opportunity is to cover Monday - Friday, day shifts, during the hours of 9am-5pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that individuals receive appropriate, funded care in line with NHS guidelines, supports legal and ethical decision making, and contribute to improving health outcomes and reducing inequalities within the local population
• Undertake comprehensive, person centred assessments to determine CHC and FNC eligibility for individuals
• Hold a caseload, review patients as required, and prepare cases for Independent Payment Board (IPP) and other funding panels
• Lead on Best Interest decisions and Court of Protection cases under the Mental Capacity Act
• Liaise with Local Authorities, acute trusts, service providers, and patient representatives in a collaborative, multi disciplinary environment
• Work within the Continuing Healthcare Team to commission and review arrangements for funded placements
• Visit individuals in their own homes or placements as part of assessments and reviews
