Job summary

Herefordshire Council is seeking a CHAT Advisor in Herefordshire to join a multi-agency team supporting children and young people requiring Family Help or advisory support. About The Role

Hours: 20.5

Salary: HC6 £28,142 - £32,062 (pro rata £15,592 - £17,764) per annum

Contract: Fixed term until August 2028 (Secondment also considered)

The Role

We are seeking a CHAT Advisor in Herefordshire to work as part of a multi-agency team, helping to support children and young people who may require Family Help or advice and support. In this role, you will carry out initial phone calls, offer guidance to families, and collaborate with partner agencies to identify needs and risks. You will provide clear, practical support to ensure children are supported, their welfare is promoted, and families receive timely interventions.

You will play a key role in building positive relationships with children, families, and carers, supporting early intervention, and ensuring that every child in Herefordshire has the opportunity to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. • Experienced within Early Help with a proven track record of supporting families.
