Job Description

We are seeking a Chassis & Suspension Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced suspension technologies. The role will focus on both fully active systems and semi-active solutions like Continuous Damping Control (CDC), along with air-based suspension systems. You'll be directly contributing to innovative projects supporting subsea exploration platforms and ruggedized marine vehicles, where precision, durability, and adaptability of suspension systems are critical.

Location: Coventry (Hybrid)

Your main responsibilities will be:

1. Lead the development and optimization of suspension systems focused on performance, comfort, and safety metrics.
2. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to seamlessly integrate dampers, CDC systems, and air spring technologies.
3. Perform structural analysis and durability simulations, specifically on knuckle and ball joint assemblies.
4. Engineer and validate anti-roll bar mechanisms to enhance stability and handling.
5. Work on air suspension systems, including air compressors and electronic ride height leveling.
6. Support on-road and field testing activities, ensuring alignment with ride, handling, and safety targets.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

1. 1-4 years of experience in systems testing or a related engineering field, with proven practical testing and execution exposure.
2. Educational background in electronics, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics.
3. Solid experience in setting up tests, executing trials, and capturing critical field data.
4. Strong analytical capabilities to interpret results and recommend design improvements.
5. Awareness of BPSS security clearance procedures and secure project handling protocols.
