Job summary

VIQU Limited is seeking a Mechanical Chassis Design Engineer in Warwick with a hybrid working pattern (3 days in the office). The role focuses on designing chassis systems, detailing components, and supporting the full product lifecycle from concept to validation and field fixes.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of mechanical design experience in industrial environments, strong knowledge of 3D CAD (Solid Edge preferred) and solid drawing skills. HNC/HND or apprenticeship is valued.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience in vehicles or equivalent industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of chassis structures, systems integration, stress, strain and fatigue.
• Experience designing fabricated or sheet-metal components and assemblies.
• Ability to read and produce high-quality technical drawings.
• Clear communication and engineering decision-making skills.
• HNC/HND or apprenticeship or equivalent practical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Designing and detailing chassis systems, structures and mechanical components.
• Producing engineering drawings and accurate Bills of Materials.
• Supporting DVP&R, design reviews and product validation.
• Resolving manufacturing, build and field-service issues through root-cause analysis.
• Working with suppliers, customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Considering manufacturability, cost, quality and performance throughout the design process.
