Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking an experienced Chartered Surveyor to join a professional Asset Management and Valuation team based in Newport. The successful candidate will provide professional valuation and estate management services across a varied property caseload.

You will undertake valuations, support operational and non-operational property management, and advise on acquisitions, disposals, leases and other property matters. This role offers a permanent contract and 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• MRICS / Chartered Surveyor status.
• Experience as a Chartered Surveyor in valuation, estate management or related professional property environment.
• Knowledge of rent reviews, leases, acquisitions, disposals and other property transactions.
• Experience undertaking valuations in line with professional standards (ideally RICS Red Book).
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to advise clients clearly.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake valuations across a range of property transactions in line with client requirements, legislation and professional standards.
• Complete annual asset valuation programmes in accordance with financial regulations, RICS Red Book and CIPFA guidance.
• Provide day-to-day estate management services including rent reviews, lease events, surrenders, assignments and dilapidations.
• Negotiate and progress leases, tenancies, licences, hirings and other property interests.
• Support acquisitions, disposals and other property decisions with professional advice.
• Manage allocated caseload and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
• Prepare reports and present complex information clearly to clients and committees.
• Build strong client relationships and stakeholder engagement.
