Job summary

EC Recruitment Group is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to transition into development monitoring in London’s West End. You will work with lenders on a portfolio of residential, hotel and commercial schemes and gradually take responsibility for your own instructions.

The role offers pathing into development monitoring with training from an established national team, flexible work between home, sites and the West End office, and a bonus-and-benefits package.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification in Building Surveying or Quantity Surveying.
• Experience working in a consultancy.
• Sound understanding of construction processes, costs and project risk.
• Clear report writing and confident client communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare initial development monitoring reports for lenders.
• Review project documentation, construction costs, programmes and risks.
• Visit sites and assess progress against the agreed programme.
• Review drawdown requests and advise lenders on the position.
• Identify issues that could affect cost, programme or delivery.
• Work with lenders, developers and professional teams throughout each project.
