Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer in Cockermouth to lead technically robust design for nuclear projects, delivering analysis, drawings and documentation within a regulated environment. You will act as technical authority in multidisciplinary teams, maintaining safety, quality and regulatory compliance with a hands-on engineering focus and potential site travel across the UK.

Flexible and hybrid working across UK offices is available, with requirements for security clearance

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural engineering and Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience delivering structural engineering solutions in nuclear or regulated sectors.
• Ability to communicate complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering design and analysis for complex nuclear projects.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and support independent checks and design justification.
