Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer to join its established structural engineering team in the WR13 area. The role requires taking responsibility for a varied portfolio, delivering technically sound and commercially practical structural solutions from concept through to completion.

You will design, review, and manage projects, liaising with architects, contractors, and clients while ensuring compliance with British Standards and Eurocodes.

Qualifications

• Chartered Structural Engineer with the relevant professional institution.
• Experience in structural design and consultancy.
• Proficient with structural design software.
• Good knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Experience with various structural materials and construction methods.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage projects and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver structural engineering solutions across a range of projects.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Produce and review structural drawings and details.
• Assess existing structures and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, clients and other consultants.
• Attend site visits, inspections and meetings where required.
• Manage structural engineering projects from initial design through to completion.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards and Building Regulations.
• Review and approve technical work where appropriate.
• Help maintain high standards of technical quality across projects.
