Leading consultancy seeking a driven and experienced MRICS-accredited Senior Building Surveyor to join their growing Major Loss team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to work on high-value commercial insurance projects across a wide range of property types and construction methods.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conduct detailed building inspections and deliver expert advice on design, construction, maintenance, and refurbishment.
• Prepare acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys, and defect diagnostics.
• Draft and manage schedules of work, technical specifications, and contract documents.
• Lead large-value commercial property repair projects, often insurance-related.
• Apply relevant legislation including CDM2015, Party Wall Act, Building Regulations, and planning laws.
• Supervise and mentor APC candidates within the team.
• Contribute to best practices, internal procedures, and health & safety compliance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Chartered Surveyor status (MRICS essential).
• Strong background in building surveying with consultancy experience.
• Expertise in defect diagnosis, report writing, and contract administration.
• Experience in managing large-scale commercial repair and insurance projects.
• Familiarity with planning, health & safety, and building legislation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
• Flexible approach to work types and the ability to prioritize under pressure.
