TED Recruitment is seeking a Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager for a SE London / Kent borders office. The role focuses on high-value projects, with current need on cladding remediation for large residential buildings, plus other residential, education and healthcare schemes.

You will be MRICS qualified or a Project Manager with strong cost-management skills, experienced in pre- and post-contract work, JCT contracts, cost control, procurement and reporting throughout the project

Qualifications

• MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager with cost management experience.
• Experience with a firm of consultants / PQS.
• Experience in cost control, contract administration, procurement and tendering, with financial reporting across the project lifecycle.
• Pre and post-contract work experience.
• Experience of using JCT contracts.
• Strong communication skills, written and spoken.
• Willing to mix quantity surveying and project management.
• Good prospects for rapid promotion.

Location: London / Kent Borders Region: UK-England-South East Salary / Rate: £50000 to £65000 per annum + pension, bonus etc.

THE ROLE

My client seeks a Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager who is from recently MRICS qualified to join them in their office in SE London / Kent borders area.

Projects are generally of high value and there is a particular need currently for people to work on cladding remediation projects for large residential buildings along with other residential, education, healthcare and some commercial projects.

You will either be a Quantity Surveyor with an interest in project management or you may be a Project Manager who has a good handle on the cost management side of projects.

THE COMPANY

My client is a long established busy firm of multi disciplinary consultants with several offices.

THE CANDIDATE

• You will either be an MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor with an interest in Project Management or a Project Manager with some experience of cost management.
• You must have experience of working with another firm of consultants / PQS.
• You need to have experience of cost control, contract administration, procurement and tendering along with financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• You must be able to do both pre and post contract work.
• You should have used JCT contracts.
• You need to be able to do contract administration, organise meetings, take minutes etc.
• You will ideally be keen to do a mix of quantity surveying and project management.
• You should have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken to deal with people at all levels.
• My client will offer good prospects for rapid promotion for the right person.
• Salary is in the region of £50000 to £65000 negotiable plus benefits including pension, life assurance, interest free season ticket loan, healthcare cash plan and more.
