The Role
My client, an established firm of PQS, seeks a Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to join as an Associate Designate based in their Kent office, working on projects across the South East.
The ideal candidate is an MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor, currently at project surveyor level, aiming to progress to Associate within approximately one year.
The firm handles projects valued over £100m, including residential, healthcare, education, commercial, and some infrastructure projects like local roads and bridges.
You will be involved in all aspects of PQS work, including pre- and post-contract activities, and should possess excellent client-facing skills.
The firm has a good client base, mainly in the private sector, with some public sector work. With around 30 employees, they are currently based in Kent and are growing.
The successful candidate will be an MRICS-qualified Quantity Surveyor with experience in both pre- and post-contract work, capable of working independently within a friendly team, and possessing excellent English language skills, both written and spoken. Good IT skills and a stable work record across various UK projects are essential.
Salary ranges from £70,000 to £75,000 plus RICS fees, pension contribution, discretionary bonus, and other benefits.
