Your Role

Gensler’s London Office is seeking an exceptionally talented and passionate Chartered Landscape Architect to join our team of design thinkers and doers who specialise in helping to tell stories and create experiences in the context of the built environment. You will work in a multi-disciplinary studio that includes landscape and urban designers, strategists, architects, and interior designers. The project types within the studio range from large-scale masterplanning, hospitality and entertainment facilities, adaptive reuse, to all forms of urban green strategies.

What You Will Do

As a Chartered Landscape Architect, you should be innovative and passionate, with strong concept schemes and a solid understanding of technical delivery. Knowledge of planting and specifications, with experience in the UK and internationally, is essential. Candidates should be responsible and accountable for delivering their project work with excellent communication skills when liaising with clients and other consultants.

  • Proven professional experience within multi-disciplinary offices or projects, with strong technical skills demonstrated through a varied portfolio.
  • Creative with excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience with a range of projects from small-scale architecturally led schemes to large-scale and complex regeneration plans is desirable.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to lead teams within the office, working constructively and collaboratively with other design disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Experience from Concept Design through to Construction Documentation is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of planting and soft landscape specifications.
  • Work closely with Directors and project teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
Your Qualifications
  • UK Chartered Landscape Architect
  • Good understanding of UK and international design standards, requirements, and processes.
  • High-level verbal, written, and graphic communication skills, including freehand sketching and industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper; knowledge of Revit is a key skill.
  • Team spirit with a strong sense of personal responsibility and dedication.
  • Proactive approach to advancing design, seeking innovation, growth, and inspiration.
  • Experience in project delivery and UK implementation is desirable.
  • Background in horticulture is a plus.

This role may evolve over time, with changes in duties as required.
