Job summary

Waterman Aspen in Scotland is seeking a Chartered Highways Engineer to lead highways projects and support the Scotland team. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, apply relevant standards, and drive contract management with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is expected or pursued.
• Experience with highways maintenance schemes and related standards.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams on highways projects.
• Audit, monitor and analyse technical and commercial issues in maintenance schemes.
• Apply TSRGD, DMRB and MCHW guidelines to projects.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental requirements are met in schemes.

• Auditing, monitoring, investigation and analysis of technical and commercial issues relevant to maintenance of a roads network.

• Understanding of operations and maintenance requirements of various highways assets.
• Assessment and verification of measured quantities in line with MCHW and contractual requirements.
• Understanding of health and safety, environmental, and traffic management requirements for highways maintenance schemes.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams
