Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) in Leeds is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our client-focused team. This role involves delivering core surveying services across varied property projects and building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline.
• Ideally MRICS or membership of a relevant professional body.
• Strong technical delivery experience.
• Ability to manage complex projects proactively and diligently.
• Excellent specification writing skills.
• Good knowledge of JCT Contracts.
• Track record in project management from inception to completion.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and client facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Client relationship management and reporting to Partners.
• Ensure delivery of value for money in projects.
• Carry out duties efficiently following processes and procedures.
• Comply with procurement/commercial/contractual strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
• Prepare key stage reports from feasibility through to completion and post-handover.
• Manage multiple projects on LIVE operational sites.
• Assist with preparation of contract documents.
• Manage multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Administer building contracts and oversee design, H&S and commercial processes.
• Own projects from brief to final occupation.
• Undertake asset management surveys and planned maintenance inspections.
