Job summary

Woking and Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care is seeking a motivated Shop Manager to run our new charity shop in North West Surrey. You will oversee daily shop operations, manage staff and volunteers, and drive sales while promoting Gift Aid and excellent donor service.

This role offers the chance to combine retail leadership with a meaningful purpose, helping fund vital palliative care for local patients and families.

Qualifications

• Retail management or supervisory experience.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to motivate a team.
• Good communication, basic IT and numeracy skills.
• Experience in fashion retail, charity retail or working with volunteers is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day shop operations, stock, pricing and merchandising.
• Lead, support and motivate staff and volunteers.
• Deliver excellent customer and donor service.
• Promote Gift Aid and help maximise sales income.
• Maintain accurate cash handling, banking and records.
• Ensure the shop is safe, compliant and welcoming.
• Work flexibly across Hospice retail locations, including weekends and bank holidays.
