Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified professional accountant with charity sector experience.
• Experience leading a finance department within a charitable organisation.
• Knowledge of Charity SORP and VAT returns expected.
• Experience with investment reporting and donor-funded activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly management accounts including income, expenditure and reconciliations.
• Lead year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation.
• Maintain financial controls and ensure VAT, HMRC, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide timely reports to Board, budget holders and leadership.
• Manage fund accounting, restricted funds and donor restrictions.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury and delegated authority processes.
